Park Tool SD-SET Shop Screwdriver Set Review

These are OK, but nothing special. You are probably better off buying a conventional set of screwdrivers, rather than paying a premium price for no apparent reason. These do not seem as solidly built as a good set of regular screwdrivers, and unlike some other Park tools, there is no such thing as a bicycle-specific screwdriver, so no need to worry about missing out if you buy another, non-cycling brand.

Edit: After a couple of years of very light use, the two screwdrivers I used the most broke within a few days of each other. One snapped off a corner trying to take a stubborn screw off, and the phillips head now just rotates uselessly in its handle. So my initial judgment that they are not well built is confirmed. On something like this, I should have bought a reputable brand with a replacement guarantee, and that is what I am going to do right now....

Cygolite Turbo 800 Lumen Rechargeable Bicycle Headlight, White, One Size Review

I use this on my weekly evening mountain bike rides and have used it for 24-hour mountain bike race laps. When used in conjunction with a 200-lumen headlamp (for twisty, narrow sections) this light is perfect. I haven't had a chance to test it in the rain, but it claims to be waterproof.

Pros:
-Small light, doesn't take up much handlebar space.
-Bright beam lights up bumpy/rooty/rocky trails nicely. Wide beam/good range lights up carriage roods very well on fast runs (I don't find myself having to slow down due to visibility at all).
-Relatively lightweight.
-One of the brightest lights available at this price point.
-The light and battery pack come with secure mounting equipment (no worrying about it flying off on rocky sections). The battery pack is small enough to mount on most stems and the cord is long enough that you could mount it on the bike frame if your stem is too short.

Cons:
-The lens seems a bit fragile, might shatter in a crash (maybe mount it under the handlebars to protect it a little)
-The light is very difficult to remove from the mount, I usually just remove the entire mount instead.
-2-hour battery life will limit the range of your night rides; you could run it on a dimmer setting to extend the battery life, but you'll probably want to leave it on the brightest setting if you want to go fast.
-The light burns pretty hot in the brightest mode.

GBE M20 Electric Folding Bike (Orange) Review

I had very little trouble setting it up. An e-mail to GBE settle all my issues.

It is not an electric bike that yields more electric power depending on the force on the pedals; instead a set force on the pedals actuates a specific electric power according to 3 options on a handlebar control. The handlebar throttle gives the maximum electric power when fully engaged.

The only design flaw I have noticed is that the pedals are supposed to be pressed by feet on only one side, which is sometimes difficult to achieve.

VDO Z-Series Cycling Computer Wireless Cadence Kit Review

Bike computers can be a fickle lot, so this review is based on the first 400+ miles of use. So far, so very good.I'm a data junkie and I've owned countless computers from manufacturers like Cateye, Specialized,Sigma and Mavic. In terms of the amount of data available, this is the most I have experienced in a cyclocomputer. That can be a plus or a definite minus if you can't access it easily, especially while riding. But getting to any data you want is surprisingly easy with this VDO model. The 4 main buttons (2 left and 2 right)each have their specific functions categorized per each button.The upper left button, labelled A, has all the altitude data. The upper right button is labelled P and has the power and stopwatch functions. The other 2 buttons divide the data into the typical bike computer functions (lower left) and the not so often used bike functions on the lower right.A list of all the functions is available here on Amazon or at the VDO site.

The main function of this review needs to be about performance and perform is what this gem does. It transmits the data accurately and with speed and precision, probably because of the nature of the ant+ system of digital transmission. The altitude features appear to be on a par with the Specialized model that was previously my personal all-time favorite.The display shows most of the important data all at once with three separate lines that are quite visible while riding. With the optional cadence unit attached, you can see speed, cadence, temperature, altitude, gradient% and either bike or additional altitude functions. For the data junkie - a lot of stuff to see. Although this model is not PC dockable, you can easily give the unit a little twist and bring it indoors to transfer manually, if you need to. Speaking of other uses, this cyclocomputer doubles as a hiking wristwatch also and even includes a wristband for that purpose. The most useful hiking functions are the altitude features.

To sum up, the VDO Z1 is a ruggedly built, fully functioneing computer and does exactly what it says it will do and does it extremely well. There are a select few 5 star perfect products in the bicycle equipment world and I would have to say this is one of them.
