Out of the box it needed to be oiled. The freewheel has some wobble to it and no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. The teeth also had a break in period with some rough shifting and metal shavings (used 2 new chains). It did smooth out after a while. The one I received did not look like the product photo either. That said, it hasn't failed after 1000 miles, but I would recommend buying a different freewheel.
