Being an XL, I do not like to prance around in the spandex biking shorts. i really like these with the elastic waist. Some of the other baggy styles don't have the elastic waist and I end up with a big gap at the waistband. The zippered pockets provide a good place to stash money or my phone. This is the second pair of these that I have purchased. I have worn and washed my first pair 4-5 times per week during biking season for the past year and they are still in great shape. I just wanted a second pair so I don't have to wash them every night.
