I have 3 sets of these on various bikes, they are lightweight for a platform, and hold up well to abuse, they have more than enough grip. The bearing on one pedal has started to go out, but its lasted over a year. I would definitely recommend this as an all around pedal, but if you are looking for a hard core DH pedal, go with something metal.
