Sugoi Men's Majik Shell Jacket, Black, Small Review

It may be a little early since I've only worn it once, but I just got back from a 6-miler in windy 27-degree NYC weather and this jacket is now my favorite jacket! I was previously wearing a Assos Fugu jacket for running and for the most part it did the job well. Only problem is that it was noticeably heavy for running and it didn't breathe as well as I'd like it to. Great for biking, it's intended use, but only adequate for running.

Enter the Sugoi Majik Shell Jacket! I wore a Defeet base-layer t-shirt and a long-sleeved UA fitted heat gear shirt underneath. Admittedly, I was concerned that I was going to be a bit cold considering how light this jacket is, but I went out anyway to test it out. I have to say, the jacket does everything that it's supposed to. I love the light weight, the breath-ability and it's ability to keep me warm without getting too drenched with sweat. This is the an issue for me in general which is why I had to find a jacket that was both windproof and breathable. The collar is the perfect height also to protect your neck from the wind -- and it's confortable. I even love the color! Keeps me visible.

The only downside, there's only one pocket and it's only big enough to fit my iPhone and maybe one GU pack. I'm hoping this jacket will do well in the Spring and Fall also since they consider it a winter jacket. Since I didn't use the side vents today, I could only assume that they will work to let the heat out as the weather gets warmer.
