This is a good bottom bracket. It's my second or third one. I rode my road bike through the worst possible conditions through this last winter and it holds up for a few months. Then I buy another one because it's the cheapest one I can find that works. I don't think any bottom bracket will survive salt, sand,slush and grit riding. That's just how it goes.
