These brakes were my introduction to hydraulic disc brakes a few years ago. They were a huge leap forward from the V-Brakes I had previously. Immediately I was impressed with the braking power, yet they didn't feel "grabby" or harsh. Conversely, they didn't feel week early in the stroke. They really felt just right!

Since then, I've toyed around with some other brands and models (both mechanical and hydro), and I can safely say that these brakes are supreme! I haven't compared them to the newer ICE technology, but I imagine that could only improve upon this great brake set.

I'm sure you can spend more on brakes, but for this price level, you are getting top notch brakes.
