The bike also includes such cruiser essentials as rear coaster brakes for easy stopping, a comfy spring saddle, and steel wheels with whitewall tires. Pacific Cycle Women's Oceanside Bicycle (Light Blue) Review

I bought this for my girlfriend so that she could get back into riding bikes (she hasn't ridden since she was a child), and so far the build quality seems to be O.K. Everything came well-packaged, except the fenders were a little bent. Honestly, I'm not that big of a stickler about the fenders because I don't plan to actually be riding at the beach with her, or on rainy days. That being said, with a little creative bending I can straighten the fenders out, but for now I'll leave them off. The chainring and freewheel are in good condition/coaster brake works well, and the rear wheel only needs slight truing. A lot of people who would buy a bike this cheap would think by now that I have a lot of work ahead of me, but this bike has been the simplest/quickest to assemble (under 30 minutes), and these odds and ends won't take long to correct. We plan on taking our first ride this weekend (weather permitting), so I'll update this as soon as we've taken it out on its maiden voyage, so to speak.

Update 2-27-2012: So far, my girlfriend loves the way this cruiser rides, and she handles it like a champ. We've taken some short trips here and there as she gets a feel for the bike, and so far I've got to say it was money well-spent. I changed out the tubes, but kept the tires it shipped with, and they have been wonderful so far...no flats, and the ride seems smooth!

Bottom line so far: You get what you pay for, but overall what you pay for is not too shabby. And to the reviewer who said there was no seatpost/headset included, I will say that the seatpost was cleverly hidden by being attached to the seat stay (diagonal bar that runs from the seatpost clamp down to the rear cog), wrapped in cardboard. As for the headset for the handlebars, I wouldn't know what to tell you. Mine was in the bottom of the box in plain sight. And to the reviewer who said that the freewheel now makes a clicking sound when you coast, that's actually pretty typical for most freewheels (even on my most expensive bike, a $650+ Trek Marlin); that would mean the freewheel bearings need new grease packed in, or that you need a new hub. A lot of people will buy this bike because they want to ride with as little maintenance as possible, but it just needs a little TLC at the outset and it should be a solid ride.
