This is a great little scale, seems accurate to the +/- 2gram spec - I've tested it with various camping items of known weights and it was pretty much spot on, with a few exceptions where it was likely a misstated spec by the item manufacturer.

Has a tare feature that lets you zero out a given weight. For ex. you can measure larger items by putting a piece of cardboard, a box, or some other container on the scale, clicking the power/tare button to zero out the weight, then adding your actual item to be measured.

One issue with this scale, that is a pet peeve of mine with other products as well - they only put two rubber feet on it, in the front, to save cost I suppose. The back feet are two little plastic dimples. On my scale the feet were not all even, so the scale would tilt back and forth on two of the feet, and it would also slide around easily because of the lack of rubber feet in the back. I added a sticky rubber foot of my own in the back (got it at Home Depot I think some time back) on the one side that was lower, and it's now stable and also doesn't slide around. Not the prettiest solution but I don't turn the scale over much :).

So please, manufacturers, put 4 rubber feet on your products, and make sure the feet are all even so your products don't tilt back and forth like a rickety dinner table!
