Zipp Platinum Pro Pads SRAM/Shimano Pair Review

I have used these for about 500 miles on my 2012 Trek Domane purchased in September of 2012 and equipped with Zipp 404s in January 2013. Wet or dry, the Platinum Pro pads seem to have very similar stopping power to the Shimano Ultegra rubber pads for aluminum wheels that came with the bike (~ 2000 miles experience with those). It appears that they are wearing faster than the original equipment pads, but If you go to carbon wheels you must switch to pads engineered for use with carbon. I also accidentally bought a set of cork pads from ZIPP and used them ~50 miles in the dry. They seemed to work fairly well with only a less stopping power than Ultegra, but I understand that cork does do not do well when wet. Just as an FYI, ZIPP does not say it, but Platimum Pro pads are rubber that is a platinum grey/silver color. Looking forward to seeing you on the road, spring is here!
