I have three FSA outer chainrings, a 46t, a 50t and this 48t. The FSA 110 BCD spider allows me to select one of these outer rings and gives me a choice of two inner rings, either a 34t or a 36t. The 48t with a 12t-25t cassette gives me a little more demanding ride than the 46t outer ring that I normally use. My focus is on keeping a moderate cadence with a relatively low heartrate (I am not a racer; I just love to ride and play with the bike). The chainrings are easy to change with a five and six millimeter allen key. Note that when I changed from a 50t chainring to the 46t I shortened the chain two inches. The shortened chain still works with the 48t chainring. Also note that with the smaller chainring that the front derailleur cage is higher than the recommended one millimeter above the chainring.
