I bought this tire for my Surly cross-check (fatties fit fine), and have been pretty happy with them. They're very durable, have a nice tread pattern, and keep me rubber side down even on some of my local singletrack. The tread is even lo-pro enough to fit under planet bike cascadia fenders, which was a big plus for me. The reflective strip is nice for riding around town too.

Probably the only downside I can put forth is that this is not a very good all around tire. The thick carcass and knobby tread definitely drag a bit on pavement, but does very well once you hit the dirt. In other words, this is a tire to be enjoyed off-piste, but don't buy it as a pavement commuter tire. In fact, if I had a conference with ze Germans, I would probably recommend "urban" be removed from the name.
