Put a set on my mountain bike a few years ago.

PRO:
Very comfortable grips with lots of shock cushioning.
Resist twisting out of position.

CON:
Gel becomes very sticky in high heat.
Impossible to clean due to sticky gel surface.

If you're in a northern environment and avoid riding on sweltering hot days, these are very comfortable grips for the price. If you live/ride in a hot environment, skip grips with a gel surface.
