I used this product to re-vamp a bottom bracket on an old Huffy Mountain Bike and it converted the bottom bracket shell from American which is a standard bottom bracket (BB) for american department store bicycles, with one piece cranks, like the Huffy I bought for four dollars at a yard sale, to Euro which was what my Shimano UN-26 BB was. The conversion cups were easy to install but slight sanding was done to make an easy squeeze, expect shaving some metal off with a file, so have a file handy to make this job an easy one, you dont want to make it difficult to line up the four contact points, which it is not, because there are little white guide arrows that point north south on the cups.
