I'm not using this on a bicycle...but instead for a manual throttle hand control on my 4X4 (Mounts to the manual shift lever)
I like that the friction level can be adjusted... the friction adj. can either be near free or ratchet like a index shifter
For my use... it's great as I can use it either way depending on my throttle control needs.
