First off, the box I received said it was 1800 lumen, not the advertised 2400. "Ok", I said, "I'm just an average guy and probably can't tell the difference between 1800 and 2400 lumen anyway", but still feels like I've been lied to.

Feelings aside, this thing is very bright. As in, so bright only the first main light is really needed. Which is good, because when all 3 are activated for longer than a couple of minutes, they shut off and won't come back on unless you unplug it from the battery. I don't know whether I got a defective unit, or what, there were no instructions that accompanied it. The main Cree light(which is really all you need and can be obtained for half the price of this one) is indeed powerful, and I feel makes me much more visible to oncoming traffic. The light reached signs a good 200 yards down the road, and the beam has a decent spread to it, illuminating most of the path you're on.

The mounting hardware(if you can call it that), is a few rubber bands that hook onto the light at opposite ends, and then one loops it around the handlebar. My handlebar is already pretty cramped, so my light is kinda wedged between some things, but I feel alone, it isn't very stable. I prefer the method with an actual mounting clip with foam and a screw. This leads to the light riding upwards if you're on rough terrain, possibly leaving the trail in pitch blackness.

As other reviews may have mentioned, on a full charge the light doesn't last more than a couple of hours(that's generous), but it does come with a wall plug adapter to charge it where-ever you can.

One neat thing though is the button changes colors based on what mode you're in, and the charge of the battery, so that's handy, but I feel this might have a draining effect as well, so you might wanna unplug it when not directly in use or you may come to find a useless light when time to go home.
