I own a lot of bicycles and have paid as much as $80+ for good competition tires. I didn't pay nearly that much for these because they are going on my 47 year old Raleigh that I ride to 20 total miles to work & back. Invariably they will get a break in the belt at about 600 miles and I'll have to get new ones. But, at under $10 that's O.K. as I'm saving hundreds on gas. Oh, and don't put 90psi in them. Keep the air pressure around 75-80psi depending on your weight. Something else that you might think about, I ride a combination of dirt and paved roads every day on these which might be a testement to their toughness or the reason I break belts. I do know that the TPI is small which has a lot to do with tire strength. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "27x1-1/4, Road, HP-90, 90PSI, Black/Gum Tire" are high quality item.
