I wear med. (5'6" 140 lbs) and this jacket is a good fit with some extra room. Not form fitting at all. I could also wear the sm. And still be able to have a warm wicking layer underneath. The material is also a bit stretchy so no worries there. Blocks wind but not really water resistant.
